Using Mahjong Study
The site is built around a local-first lesson workspace plus standalone tile tools. You can use the core editing features without an account.
This page is currently maintained in English for this locale.
Start a lesson
- Open Teaching and start from an editable example or a blank lesson.
- Choose the lesson ruleset before building the example. Changing rules creates a separate copy rather than silently rewriting the original.
- Add or replace tiles, write the question and explanation, then preview the student view.
- Use Export for printable handouts, images or editable JSON backups.
Saving and backups
Lessons and standalone tool drafts are stored in this browser first. They are not automatically moved to another device. After Google sign-in, use the account panel to manually save the current document to the cloud or restore a matching cloud backup. Keep JSON exports for material you cannot afford to lose.
Teacher exports can contain answers, hidden tiles and private notes. Review a file before giving it to students.
Standalone tools
2D tiles, the 3D table and the material lab keep their own tool state. A tool draft is not the same document as a teaching lesson.
Google sign-in
Sign-in is optional. When configured, Google and Supabase handle authentication using basic profile and email scopes. Signing in does not upload local work by itself; cloud save, restore and delete are explicit actions in the account panel.

If something looks wrong
- If saving fails, export a backup before refreshing or clearing browser data.
- If sign-in is unavailable, continue as a guest; editing does not require an account.
- If a rules example differs from your table, follow the ruleset or card edition your group actually adopted.
